Trish Schultz Town Clerk/Tax Collector
The real estate year tax year runs from April 1st through March 31st of the following year. Your taxes are based on the assessed value of your home/property on April 1st of any year. In Lyndeborough your taxes are separated into two bills. The first bill is one half of the total taxes due in the previous year, plus any physical changes that may increase the value of your home/property made in the last tax year. Our tax rate is set in October at which time your final taxes due are established-less a credit of your prepayment in July.
Lyndeborough tax rate is determined by the town's budget. The budget expenses are covered by the property taxes collected minus grants/fees collected.
